  I bought my Silver Viscount sewing machine in 2010, it is the 2021 model which is still current. It's a little cutesy looking but don't be fooled, Silver machines are workhorses. Mine is still working like new after 7 years. I didn't use it for a while and in my experience other sewing machines do not 'like' that at all. My Silver worked as the day I bought it. I have oiled it once, and never needed a service or a repair so cannot comment on that side of the business, but one of my kids broke the spool om my machine, I asked on Silver Viscount's facebook page, they replied almost instantly with the number to call. They were very friendly and sent the new spool and easy instructions out for around 4 pounds, very promptly. I have tried most other brands of sewing machine on the market, with Silver you are getting the build quality of the machines other brands sell for up to three to four times as much.
